Rev. David A. Muench, MDiv, MS, LIMHP, LMFT
Executive Director, Therapist at GracePoint since 2017 David is available at our Omaha and Lincoln locations. David specializes in Marriage and Family Therapy with a pastoral perspective, although he also has done significant work with individuals struggling with personality disorders and attachment issues. For more than 28 years, David served in parish ministry of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, serving as teacher, DCE, pastor, Christian Counselor and Synod Executive. He graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis with a Masters of Divinity in 1986, and from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Masters of Science in 1995. Prior to his recent retirement he served as the Director of Ministerial Care for Concordia Plan Services in St. Louis, Missouri. Venita S. Steinbauer, MS, LMHP, CMFT
Therapist at GracePoint since 2014 Venita is available at our Lincoln location. Venita specializes in Individual Counseling with a Christian foundational perspective for anxiety and depression support. She has done significant work with individuals dealing with Adjustment issues throughout the entire life span; adolescents to adulthood, job change, work life to retirement, change in relationships, and grief care. After completing her BSEd with a Psychology emphasis at Concordia University-Nebraska, Venita began her counseling career as a Freshman Counselor while attaining her Masters degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, graduating in 1996. For 20+ years, she has practiced in the area of personality assessment and corporate counseling, supportive mental health care for church workers, and individual therapy with all ages through GracePoint. Mary L. Gieseke, MA, LIMHP, LADC
Therapist at GracePoint since 2019 Mary is available at our Lincoln location. Mary specializes in substance use, mental health and trauma therapy. She has been working in intensive substance use outpatient treatment for the last 8 years and with that work, understands that mental health concerns and trauma often go hand in hand with addiction. Mary graduated from Concordia Teacher's College with a Bachelors of Science in Teaching and taught in the Lutheran School system for 7 years. She remained active in the Lutheran Church as a Worship Director and Women's Ministry Director for another 28 years. In 2012, she graduated from Doane University with a Masters in Counseling. Since then, Mary has received additional training in EMDR, DBT and EFT, which are all treatment approaches for individuals with trauma, anxiety and other mental health concerns. Becky Soppe, MS, LMHP
Therapist at GracePoint since 2021 Becky is available at our Omaha and Lincoln locations. Becky specializes in youth and families. She has a passion for helping others see their strengths and potential as God has designed them. She has significant experience with adolescents with mental health issues including Anxiety, Depression, other Mood Disorders, ADHD, and with severe behavior disorders including Oppositional Defiance Disorder and Conduct Disorder. She also understands the stressors these challenges can cause families and enjoys helping parents learn healthier parenting techniques to meet the unique needs of their children. Becky earned the Bachelor of Science Degree from Concordia College In Seward, NE with Elementary Education endorsements in both Early Childhood and Special Education. She taught for five years at a Lutheran School in South Omaha where she also served as the Director of their Before and After-care Programs. Following teaching, Becky and her husband, Allyn, lived at Boys Town as Family Teachers where they served severely at-risk boys and their families for nine years. Becky gained the Master of Science Degree in Youth and Family Services from Bellevue University in 2012. During this time she had experience counseling youth with severe mental health disorders at Boys Town’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment facility. Prior to starting as a full time therapist at GracePoint, Becky was a Community Director at Boys Town serving severely at-risk young women. Rev. Dr. Mark Hannemann, MDiv, DMin, LMHP, LPC, CLC
Co-founder and President of GracePoint since 2012 Therapist at GracePoint since 2022 Mark is available via Telehealth. Mark has been a licensed counselor since 1995 and specializes in grief and loss recovery, anxiety and depression treatment, marriage and family issues, pastoral counseling and spiritual direction. He is also a certified life coach. Mark brings nearly 40 years of ministry experience working with people, having served as pastor and counselor, high school and university instructor, counseling center director, and retreat center director. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science In Education Degree from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, a Master of Divinity Degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in pastoral counseling from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Hannah Neihardt, MS, PLMHP, NCC
Therapist at GracePoint since 2021 Hannah is available at our Omaha and Lincoln locations. Hannah specializes in individual counseling with adolescents and young adults. She is passionate about taking a holistic approach to counseling and seeing the whole person for who they are. Hannah has had the opportunity to work with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational issues. Hannah graduated from Northwestern College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and following this completed her Master's Degree in Counseling at the University of South Dakota. Kat Hannemann B.S., Psychology
Executive Assistant Kat has served in various administrative roles since GracePoint opened in 2012. She currently assists with the Intake Process and Schedule Management, as well as a portion of the office billing and website management. Kat is wife to Rev. Dr. Justin Hannemann and together, they have four children; she is based in Seward. |
